Family Psychotherapy

Family Psychotherapy is best known as ‘Family Therapy’ and works in a systemic way to address issues and relationships. Family Therapy recognises life is difficult and stressful at times. It can be helpful to have a safe, confidential place, outside of your home, to talk. The aim is to help clients work through issues and improve relationships. All clients should be ready to meaningfully engage with the process.

Family Therapy works on family’s strengths and in finding helpful ways of resolving life’s difficulties. It identifies family patterns that contribute to behaviours and helps break habits by problem-solving.

Dochas will offer each family 15-20 sessions (for internal clients) before a review takes place and additional therapy goals set. Our aim is resolve relationship conflict, resulting in an improved quality of life.
