We provide confidential therapeutic interventions, parenting support, individual and group activities.  Dóchas is committed to working with children and families in the medium-long term to tackle a range of family issues. Children are central to what we do, and we encourage and support their voice in things that affect their lives.

Dochas provide a service which empowers and supports children & families establish and achieve their goals.  Using a social ecology (or systems theory) model called ‘My World Triangle’, we  focus on multiple aspects of a child’s life at home, school and in the community.

We transition children into local youth services when it’s safe and appropriate to do so. We link in with a range of agencies and participate in collaborative meetings with partner organisations. On average we work with specific children for between 2-5 years. Dochas is able to work with between 25-30 families depending on the complexity of the case and employs a case work team of four. We provide Family Therapy, 2 days a week and Play or Creative Therapy at certain points throughout the year in addition to the above.
